Exterior to Lina Stores in Soho, London.

Let’s be real: finding a genuinely brilliant restaurant in London can sometimes feel like mission impossible. There’s almost too much choice, and how do you know what’s actually good versus just good marketing?

Enter the Secret Club, our amazing online community of readers who have been spilling all their foodie secrets with us and other like-minded locals. We’ve peeked inside and rounded up 10 of their hottest tips right now—from hidden gems and cute cafés to full-blown feasting and Michelin-starred mavens.

So, without further ado, here are some must-visit restaurants in London, recommended by our Secret Club members. If you’d like to get featured in one of our articles, join the club and drop your favourite recommendations!

    1. Kanpai Classic

For a special occasion, Chin from the Secret Club recommends this high-end Taiwanese-style Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ) in Soho. It’s a sister restaurant to a famous group in Taiwan, and it’s the place to go for premium A5 Wagyu.

They told the club, “We had been looking forward to trying it since it opened! The one in London is definitely very special and still tasty as usual. I do recommend to everyone who wants to try more high-class yakiniku, especially wagyu.”

📍 You can find Kanpai Classic at 147-149 Wardour St, London W1F 8WD. Visit their website, here.

    2. Grasso

Sometimes you just want a fun, no-nonsense feed. Christina A. perfectly captured the vibe of this family-runItalian-American joint in Soho. It’s all about hearty portions, their viral disco toilets, and pure comfort food.

She told the club, “Grassos is an independent family-run restaurant. Their specialty is the Italian-American cuisine, so think spaghetti and meatballs, massive cheese pizzas, portions for two, checked table cloths and gallons of wine!”

Love a tip from a mate who gets it? That’s the Secret Club in a nutshell! It’s our amazing community hub where thousands of Londoners just like Christina share their ‘must-visit’ spots. Join the club and curate the ultimate ‘to-eat’ list.

📍 You can find Grasso at 81 Dean St, London W1D 3SW. Visit their website, here

    3. Proper Tacos

Finding worthy tacos in London can be a quest and a half, but Secret Club member Laura B. has found the real deal. This family-run taqueria on Seven Sisters Road is celebrated by foodies for its incredible, authentic flavours, especially the birria.

She said, “It’s definitely worth a visit for authentic tacos. Just go and take a look at all the awards they have won.”

You’d never find a gem like this just by wandering around. You get tips like Laura’s from being in-the-know. The Secret Club is your new secret weapon for uncovering the city’s best-hidden spots, straight from the real Londoners who found them. Join today to stop missing out!

📍 You can find Proper Tacos at Unit 6, 22 Seven Sisters Rd, London N7 6AG. Visit their website, here.

    4. Lina Stores

Another famed Italian makes the list! We all know and love Lina Stores for their iconic pistachio-green stripes and the fresh pasta that is absolutely unreal. But Secret Clubber Samantha O. is here to tell us we’re sleeping on their breakfast!

She posted at the Secret Club, “I normally love a good sweet breakfast, but this was actually awesome. (I had the) focaccia with all the good stuff inside!”

📍 There are several Lina Stores locations across London. Visit their website, here.

    5. Travel

Set inside the stunning, old Westminster Fire Station that is Grade II-listed, this spot is undeniably wowing our members. Helmed by a chef with a Michelin-starred pedigree, Yaatra serves up fine-dining Indian cuisine that looks as good as it tastes. Just ask Secret Clubber Richa S.

She shared with us, “Recently tried this… and wow—the food was unreal. Every dish was a flavour bomb and plated to perfection.”

However, The Secret Club isn’t just about amazing tips like Richa’s; it’s also your ticket to exclusive partner offers, discounts, and special access to some of the city’s coolest spots. Get in on the good stuff—join the club today!

📍 You can find Yaatra at 4 Greycoat Pl, London SW1P 1SB. Visit their website, here.

    6. Fact Pundit

We love a restaurant that has a “must-order” dessert, and club member Kaushik G. found one that’s worth the visit alone. This Asian hotspot is famous for its unique Hakka cuisinebut it’s the brownie that got him hooked.

He told the club, “Started visiting this place only to try their Sizzling brownie with Ice cream, but fell in love with their food as well. Have already been to this place multiple times, dragging multiple friends. A defo must-try Indo-Chinese place.”

📍 You can find Fatt Pundit in Soho and Covent Garden. Visit their website, here.

    7. Brigadiers

Michaela V. has dropped the mic, naming this spot her number one. Inspired by the army mess bars of India, this Indian barbecue restaurant and tavern is known for its incredible grilled meats, lively atmosphere, and self-serve beer taps.

She shared, “Probably the best Indian restaurant in London. The food was excellent. Defo coming back, the whole experience was very pleasant.”

Probably the best in London?! Now that’s a claim. The Secret Club is where these brilliant, passionate debates happen every single day. It’s a non-stop chat with fellow Londoners about the city’s best-kept secrets. Join the conversation here!

📍 You can find Brigadiers at1-5 Bloomberg Arcade, London EC4N 8AR. Visit their website, here.

    8. Gogo Pocha

When you want authentic Korean food without the fuss, Secret Clubber Kaushik G. says to head straight to this spot near Waterloo. It’s all about substance over style, serving up the kind of food that warms your soul–just like our Secret Club members and their killer recs.

They told the club, “Had a hot stone bibimbap which was really good. The flavours were well balanced and the spice level was on point. Don’t expect an extravagant instagramable place, it’s a small humble place which relies on their food quality and taste rather than aesthetics.”

📍 You can find Gogo Pocha in Waterloo and Clapham. Visit their website, here.

    9. Bobo & Wild

A good neighbourhood brunch spot is a weekend essential. Secret Club veteran, Vanessa E., found her favourite in Wanstead, praising the incredible variety at Bobo & Wild. But the real star of the show? The humble banana bread.

Vanessa shared with the club, “Their pastry selection was amazing! I tried their banana bread, and this was probably one of THE best banana breads I’ve tried! I love a good brunch spot, and this has been added to my favourites list!”

📍 There are several Bobo & Wild locations across London. Visit their website, here.

    10. The View Tube

Here’s a true hidden gem from Laura B… Forget the chaos of Westfield and head for this quirky cafe on the edge of the Olympic Park. Built from shipping containers, it serves up killer views and a delicious fusion menu.

Laura said, “My favourite cafe in Stratford… on the edge of the Olympic park overlooking the orbit. A Latin fusion cafe/bar with a huge beer garden, the tacos are delicious, and the mojitos too! It’s definitely worth the 10-minute walk from Westfield!”

📍 You can find The View Tube at The Greenway, Marshgate Ln, London E15 2PJ. Visit their website, here.
