A spokesperson for the Corporation said:
“We have moved the artwork to the South Ambulatory of the Guildhall Yard to ensure it is properly protected and can be viewed safely by the public. The relocation was carefully managed by a conservator from the London Museum and a removals team organized by our security team.
“Members of the public will be able to see the artwork through the glass.
“The artwork will remain in this location for up to six months while we explore options for its medium and long-term future. A permanent home for the piece will be decided in due course.”
