Although little detail about Moria’s relationship with Matthew was released there early on Welcome to Plathville season 6, the truth was later revealed. Matthew, a religious musician from Tampa, Florida, wasn’t identified as the man who broke Moriah’s heart until the season was ending and online sleuths found out who he is. Anyway, Moriah stayed quiet all season about the details of her relationship, but her family spilled the tea while Moriah was out of the room during the taping session.
Moriah filmed the music video for her song “Devil in a Suit and Tie” in Season 6 with the help of her family. The Song of Moriah was told by Matthew. Barry revealed that he had met Matthew, and the pair had a three-hour conversation that impressed Barry. However, after the collapse of Moria’s relationship and how she was treated while in it, Barry played Matthew a “master manipulator”. But as Plath’s children came into their own, moved out, and found relationships, Kim and Barry lost their grip, and several factors related to the family dynamic spiraled. These days, Welcome to Plathville has talked about how family glues back together while most of Plath explores her love life.
