Marks & Spencer shoppers have been snapping up a ‘very stylish’ bomber jacket that has been praised as a ‘godsend’ for the unpredictable summer weather.
It seems the grey clouds and downpours of rain are putting a real damper on our summer this year, and we’re finding ourselves layering up before leaving the house due to the low temperatures.
While it may be too warm to whip out your full winter coat, a chic bomber jacket offers just the right amount of warmth and protection from the rain – especially as this one from M&S is made with an innovative water-repellent finish.

Priced at £59, the jacket is available in sizes eight to 24 and comes in three different colours; navy, cream and sage. Despite it being so popular with shoppers, some sizes have completely sold out, so if you’re after the perfect all-year-round jacket, don’t wait around.
A ribbed neckline, cuffs and hem give the jacket a laid-back look while the two deep fleece-lined side pockets are great for practicality and keeping your hands warm during the winter months.
The jacket has earned rave reviews from shoppers so far for its lightweight feel that has been branded perfect for holidays or summer evenings. One delighted customer said: “Definitely size down. Love this bomber, it’s really cosy, it’s like being hugged by a jacket, even the pockets are fleece lined and it’s beautifully padded. Love the ruching detail on the back and may be tempted to buy another colour.”
A second added: “Love this jacket and how versatile it is. I wore it throughout the winter, and now during the summer while the weather is bad, and it’s kept me warm during both seasons.” While a third wrote: “This is a great all-round jacket. Despite plenty of five-star reviews, some shoppers weren’t impressed and found the jacket too oversized. One customer said: “Too big and bulky and I returned it. The beige didn’t suit me either.”
