London has no shortage of festive wonderlands to explore and enchanting sights to see at Christmastime. From the iconic Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park to the Chelsea Winter Village, magic abounds around every corner of our capital. But a new contender for the most Christmassy destination in the city is opening up this month: the Winter Gardens at Beckenham Place Park.
Opening up from November 15, 2025 to January 4, 2026the Winter Gardens are bringing Christmas cheer to the expansive 96-hectare parklands, and you won’t want to miss it. And you’ve no reason not to visit, either, since entry to the Winter Gardens is completely FREE! (Although you will have to pay for individual attractions and activities.)
At the Winter Gardens
The Winter Gardens will take over the large area opposite the Homestead Courtyard in Beckenham Place Park. The easiest way to find it? Head to Homestead Cafe in the park, and you’ll spot it easily – assuming you don’t find it along the way. The nearest station is Beckenham Hill, or you can head to Ravensbourne station and take a short walk through the park to get there.

Inside, a dazzling array of festive delights awaits to enchant every visitor. Guests can glide across the ice at the covered skating rink or browse handmade gifts and artisan food at the Christmas market. The Winter Gardens also feature a festive funfair with over 15 rides and live entertainment from The Revel Puck Circus. Oh, and there’s also winter-themed crazy golf courtesy of the balls-to-the-wall wacky team at Plonk Golf. How many other Christmas wonderlands boast crazy golf?!
When you’re all worn out and you need a pick-me-up, head to the Winter Lodge to enjoy some cosy seasonal food and drink. Plus, there’s plenty of street food available around the area, ranging from crepes to churros, doughnuts, burgers, and more.
It’s set to be one of London’s most festively cheerful attractions this winter, so be sure you don’t miss out!
The Winter Gardens are open daily from 11am-11pm. They’ll close on Christmas Day, and will close an hour earlier on December 26 & 31, as well as January 1.
