Bachelorette season 21 villain Sam McKinney goes up against his nemesis Devin Strader after it was revealed during the episode “After the Final Rose” that Devin broke off her and Jenn Tran’s engagement over the phone. Sam and Jenni had a very strong physical connection during that time Bachelorette season 21, which started when he gave her his first impression rose and his first kiss of the season. However, their relationship soured when he made several missteps, including failing to express to her why he loved her.

“The good guys always win… It might not be me, but it sure as hell isn’t you either.”

In an Instagram post Sam revealed that he watched Bachelorette season 21 finale, saying “It was brutal.”

Sam stated that although he and Jenni had their differences, he once “cared for him very, very deeply” and he “your anger” watching him go through the announcement of the breakup on the show. Sam and Thomas had major conflicts with Devin

Sam and Thomas Nguyen both had major clashes with Devin throughout the season, painting them as villains. Sam didn’t get along with Devin at all, while Thomas was furious when Devin first stole Jenni at a cocktail party. In the comments section of Sam’s post, Thomas wrote: “Proud of you bro.” Sam replied, “Proud of us, man. S*** was never easy dealing with all of this. Glad we stuck with what we knew.”

During the show, Sam and his family often posted on social media that only one side of the story was being told and that Sam was badly edited. Jenn even called her out on it during the “Men Tell All” episode. While Devin’s actions against Jenni revealed in the season finale don’t justify Sam’s bad behavior, they do make you wonder if there was more to the story when it came to her conflict with Devin. However, Sam used violent language when talking about Devin, saying that he would cut her in half and she would step on his neck.

Even though Devin hurt Jenni deeply, so did Sami. He didn’t listen to her feelings when he forced her to jump from the Auckland Sky Tower and he couldn’t explain to her why he loved her. Sam also told her that she thought Daisy Kent or Maria Georgas was the bachelor. Like Sam said, Devin turning out to be a villain doesn’t make Sam a good guy. However, it is definitely possible that Devin was one Bachelorette season 21 bad guys all the time, but he got a good edit because of the engagement.
