Returning for its 11th year, the ever-popular City Beerfest will be held at the Corporation’s historic Guildhall Yard on 3 July from 12.30pm to 9pm.
The festival will bring together a selection of top brewers, food stalls, and live music, all of it enjoyed on the site of London’s second-century Roman Amphitheatre. Over 40 different beers will be available, including non-alcoholic, low alcohol, and gluten-free options.
Delivered by the City Corporation, in partnership with the Worshipful Company of Brewers, the annual event features several of the finest brewers from the UK and across Europe.
This year, they include Damm 1876 Ltd; Five Points Brewing Company, Freedom Brewery, Guinness, Harbour Brewing Co, Hofmeister, Hook Norton Brewery, McMullen’s, Ossett Brewery, Shepherd Neame, Signature Brew, Timothy Taylor & Co, and Warsteiner Brauerei.
City Beerfest has become one of the most popular events in the Square Mile’s calendar, bringing together beer enthusiasts, workers, residents, and visitors, with all profits donated to The Lord Mayor’s Appeal to support two partner charities, MQ Mental Health Research, and Homewards. Since Beerfest began, it has raised over £150,000 for a wide range of charitable causes.
Corporation Deputy Policy Chairman, James Thomson, said:
“City Beerfest is a perfect opportunity to sample some of the UK’s best beers and outstanding food in a uniquely relaxed and fun summer setting, as well as raising a glass to support the Lord Mayor’s Appeal’s two charities.
“We are proud to be partnering with the Worshipful Company of Brewers to celebrate the art of brewing, the results of which will be savoured in the historic surroundings of Guildhall Yard.”
