Magnolia Court Care Home, part of Barchester Healthcare, donated the funds to The Pepper Pot Centre in Ladbroke Grove through Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.

The centre, which supports people aged 60 and over, was established in 1981 and provides culturally sensitive day services, health and wellbeing sessions, exercise classes, dementia-friendly activities, digital support and befriending services.

Michael Ochwa, manager of The Pepper Pot Centre, said: “Funding like this makes a real and meaningful difference to our members. As a community organisation, we rely on the generosity of partners like Barchester’s Charitable Foundation.

“Their support helps us reduce loneliness, keep our members active, and continue providing a safe and welcoming space.”

The Pepper Pot Centre has received national recognition, including visits from Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Camilla, and has won a Mayor’s Award from the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Wayne Hughes, senior general manager at Magnolia Court Care Home, said: “We are always keen to support local organisations that have such a powerful impact. The Pepper Pot Centre plays an essential role in helping older people remain independent, socially connected and valued within their community.”
