When rumors swirl around Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea
season 10, with the return of many of the stars of season 9. The crew was spotted filming in Barcelona in the summer of 2024, and several familiar faces were recognised. Deckhand Joe Bradley is likely to return with his good friend Nathan Gallagher. Although fans are excited for Nathan to continue Below decks on the way, opinions are mixed about Joe. Joe was a very divisive character in Season 9, and his contribution to the drama in Mustique made viewers question his trustworthiness.

Joe joined in Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 9 veteran Captain Sandy Yawn and Chief Stew Aesha Scott, who left Below decks get back to your roots Deck Med. The rest of the crew consisted of franchise newcomers. Deckhand Gael Cameron worked alongside Joe and Nathan, while Stews Ellie Dubaich, Bri Muller and latecomer Carrie O’Neill engaged in power struggles and romantic competition. The season was plagued by poor performances and disastrous romances, both of which involved Joe.

Joe Was A Nuisance On Deck

Sandy questioned his competence as a leader

Joe was appointed manager early on Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 9, but his sloppy mistakes made Captain Sandy question whether he was worthy of the role. Bosun’s Iain Maclean cast Joe in the lead role without informing Sandy, which immediately angered him. Sandy and the viewers thought that Nathan would have been a better fit. When Joe made repeated mistakes that exposed his ineptitude, he risked bringing down the entire outdoor team.

Joe had experience, but his common sense left a lot to be desired. This led to poor choices at critical moments, such as when deploying the anchor. Joe’s failure to perform often forced Nathan and Gael to protect him. Although Iain’s lack of leadership received most of the criticism, Joe, as second manager, is also guilty of failing to enhance Iain’s shortcomings. This, combined with his personal drama, made his contribution to the team less than stellar.

Joe dug his hole even deeper by causing friction with Gael, who was a much more competent deckhand despite his mistrust. Although Gael was willing to protect Joe when needed, his disparaging remarks turned her against him. He called her “princess”, discounting her hard work, even though she was doing a much better job than him.

Joe interrupted the couple’s plans to travel after the charter season by planning his own trip with Nathan, leaving Nathan in the middle.

Gael also became frustrated with Joe’s relationship with Nathan, which disrupted his and Nathan’s relationship. Joe interrupted the couple’s plans to travel after the charter season by planning his own trip with Nathan, leaving Nathan in the middle. Despite bothering them personally and professionally, Joe seemed oblivious to his crewmate’s frustration as he remained focused on his romantic pursuits.

Joe tried to hook up with almost every woman on the ship

His womanizing turned the soups against each other

Joe’s time in Mustique was dominated by his messy boat trips with Ellie and Bri. Ellie and Bri were instantly smitten with Joe’s charisma and good looks at the beginning of the season. He led them both on, flirting mercilessly, making them both think they had a chance with him, unaware that he was double-crossing them.

As expected, Ellie and Bri owned Joe, leading to a nasty war between them. Their working relationship crumbled, and their personal drama eventually affected their performance so much that it nearly cost them their jobs. Meanwhile, Joe didn’t take responsibility for his role in the mess. While Ellie and Bri fought to save their careers, Joe escaped unscathed.

Below Deck Mediterranean Shouldn’t Welcome Joe Bradley Back For Another Season (He May Be Back Despite Setback)

Below Deck Mediterranean’s Joe Bradley may be back for a second season, but the series shouldn’t bring him back for another charter after his behavior.

Ellie and Bri eventually realized that Joe was playing them both and tried to put the drama behind them. Their relationship would never be the same, and they never gave up on their search for Joe, who by that point had moved on with Carrie. His continued playboy behavior shows that he had little remorse for the destruction he caused on the ship.

While a little romantic competition can keep things interesting, the love triangle between Joe, Ellie and Bri overshadowed all others Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea season 9 plot points. It lasted almost the entire season, when viewers were tired of Joe’s womanizing and manipulation. His complete lack of responsibility made him the main villain of the season. He hasn’t learned anything from his mistakes, so there’s no reason for him to change his behavior in season 10.

    Joe annoys Captain Sandy…again

Sandy was not affected by Joe in Below Deck Med Season 9

Surprisingly, Captain Sandy would let the producers bring Joe back considering his impressive performance.. Sandy does not tolerate inefficiency. Although he tends to sympathize with yachts with decent potential, Joe’s mistakes were all the result of carelessness and distraction. He seemed more intent on having fun than developing his skills and listening to instructions from his superiors. This is behavior that Sandy didn’t tolerate in Joe’s first season, and she won’t tolerate it when he returns.

Sandy was not the driving force behind her acting performance, which raises suspicions that Joe’s performance is secondary to his ability to create chaos.

Joe was not a remarkable deckhand or particularly passionate about his work. Sandy was not the driving force behind his acting performance, which raises suspicions that Joe’s performance is secondary to his ability to create chaos. It seems like his return has no motive other than to continue the drama. The producers know that Joe will likely engage in the same stunts in Season 10, showing that he is willing to sacrifice the well-being of the cast for entertainment.

Joe’s season 10 behavior will likely continue to irritate Sandy. He runs a tight ship and gets impatient when his crew doesn’t perform to their full potential. Joe’s return shows that the show doesn’t care about Sandy or the rest of the crew.

Unless season 10 includes a comeback story where Joe radically improves his performance and atones for his past mistakes, he’s destined to go back to his old ways. Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea return. Joe will likely continue to pit women against each other as his crewmates pick up his slack, leaving the crew overworked and divided. His return may make for good television, but it will come at a cost to his co-workers.

Below deck, the Mediterranean Sea is available to stream on Peacock.
