It’s unfortunate news for travellers and commuters in London this week, as popular portions of the Metropolitan line will be closed until Sunday, November 9. The line has ceased running between Baker Street and Aldgate due to a track fault at Baker Street.
Travellers are recommended to use the Circle and Hammersmith & City lines to complete their journeys if travelling to the affected stations. The closure may also cause delays on other portions of the line.
The Metropolitan line closure will prevent access to popular stations such as King’s Cross St Pancras and Liverpool Street using that line. Based on where you’re travelling, here are some alternative lines you can make use of to reach your destination.

The Metropolitan line will not run between Baker Street and Aldgate from November 3 – 8. The service is expected to be operating as normal again from November 9.
