You probably associate the Beats brand with its headphones and earbuds, but last year, it revamped its iconic portable speaker for the first time since 2015, upgrading it with a smart carry strap, lengthy 24hour battery life, dust and water resistance, and impressive sound quality. It’s waterproof and looks classy in either its classic red colour, subtle black or stunning Champagne gold.

If you’ve been scouring the Amazon Prime Day sales for a Bluetooth speaker bargain, this is the one we’d recommend. Every colour of the Beats Pill (2024) is reduced in the sale, down from the RRP of £149.99 to just £89, a 41% price cut. This is one of the best offers we’ve seen on the Pill. Aside from a shortlived deal at the end of May, it’s rare to see it available at under £100, which makes this latest discount for Prime members a steal.

    Beats Pill wireless Bluetooth speaker

Why pick the Pill over the rest of the other Bluetooth speakers you can find in Amazon’s sale? For us, it’s right in the sweet spot between portable and powerful – it’s still small enough that you can carry it around without it feeling like a brick and while the 680g is chunkier than certain rivals, it’s still under a kilogram and doesn’t weigh you down.

It’s also super easy to set up, especially for an iPhone users. Pairing is instant – it works just like if you were connecting a pair of AirPods to an iPhone, with no digging around in the Settings app. It’s just as easy for the Android users among us, because it has seamless Google Fast Pair, too.

It’s not short of extra features, like power bank functionality and the ability to play lossless audio over USBC, but its default wireless sound is great. On test for our review, it impressed us with a distortionfree audio quality that was loud enough to easily fill a room.

Unsurprisingly, we highly rank the Beats Pill, with it ranking highly among the best options in our guide to the best portable Bluetooth speakers.

If you’re keen to grab a Beats Pill this Amazon Prime Day, you’ll need to act fast, though. The offer is exclusive to Prime members and due to expire at midnight tonight on 11 July 2025. If you haven’t got a Prime account, you’ll pay a higher, nondeal price of £119 for the speaker – that’s still less than the RRP, but it’s worth hopping on a 30day free trial of Amazon Prime to take advantage of the deal.
