The Ink Factory and Second Half Productions have revealed the full cast for the UK tour of The Spy Who Came In From The Coldopening at Curve Leicester on 12 March 2026 and touring through to August.

Ralf Little will lead the production as Alec Leamas, joined by Gráinne Dromgoole as Liz Gold. Tony Turner will play George Smiley, Nicholas Murchie appears as Control and Peter Losasso takes the role of Hans-Dieter Mundt.

The cast also includes Jeff D’Sangalang, Melody Chikakane Brown, Eddie Toll, Jonny Burman, Jo Servi, Clara Wessely and James Burman.

Adapted by award-winning playwright David Eldridge, this marks the first time John le Carré’s iconic novel has been brought to the stage. Jeremy Herrin directs, with Joe Lichtenstein serving as Tour Director.

The production premiered to sold out audiences at Chichester Festival Theatre in 2024 before transferring to @sohoplace for a West End run concluding on 21 February 2026.

The story follows British intelligence officer Alec Leamas, who is persuaded to undertake one final mission that sends him deep into enemy territory. His resolve wavers when he meets Liz Gold, a compassionate librarian whose presence complicates his loyalties.

Celebrated as a global bestseller for over sixty years, The Spy Who Came In From The Cold is regarded as one of le Carré’s most incisive works.

The production features design by Max Jones, lighting by Azusa Ono, sound by Elizabeth Purnell, composition by Paul Englishby and movement direction by Lucy Cullingford. Casting is by Matilda James.
