Perform a computer reset your computer will reset all settings to their factory defaults, including the registry, group policies, and any customizations you’ve implemented. If other troubleshooting methods prove to be ineffective, resetting to default settings may solve your icon problem but it comes with some risks.
Follow these instructions:
- Open Windows settings.
- Go to Update and security and choose Recovery from the left menu.
- Choose Get started button below Restore this computer.
- In the window, choose to keep or delete your files on your computer.
It is important to note that choosing remove everything option will erase all data and files and wipe your devices clean. Be careful and make sure not to delete important data when you select this option by mistake.
