Jose San Miguel Jr. and Rachel Gordillo had many ups and downs Married at first sight season 13 and it’s time to update Jose. Jose got a bad reputation because he seemed to have some anger issues. He couldn’t get over his jealousy, which meant that any conflicts he had with Rachel escalated very quickly. Although Rachel came in patient and willing to learn, she was unprepared for how Jose would act. The couple had chemistry at the altar and shared a sweet kiss, but they didn’t have an easy road in the end.

He saw nothing negative early on with his elegant, intelligent and beautiful wife, but when Rachel’s mother warned about her messy ways, fear crept into Jose’s eyes. Early on, Rachel worried that things were too good to be true. He may have been right, as fans saw red flags for Rachel and Jose everywhere.

Tensions between Lifelong‘s Rachel and Jose reached new heights when he locked her out of the house. His action began Rachel accidentally called him by her ex’s name. Things got worse when she ended up spending the night at her ex’s house when no one else answered her calls.
Despite their pitfalls and their ugly fight, Jose and Rachel said yes to every decision day. Married at first sight. In the cast photo after the shoot, Rachel was still wearing her ring. However, she had also posed far away from Jose in some shots. After advertising MAFS in season 13 on social media, Jose mainly posted outings with his friends. From baseball games to drinking and ski trips, Jose lived to the fullest. All in all though, there have been many signs that Rachel and Jose wouldn’t last.
Jose and Rachel only stayed together for a few weeks after the closing date before breaking up. However, they reconciled before filming the reunion. In the end, Jose and Rachel decided to go their separate ways. In a joint statement, they did Peoplethe couple elaborated on the news of their separation.
“After much consideration, we have decided that it is better for us to go our separate ways.” Further stating, “It’s a decision we don’t make lightly, but after trying to make this marriage work, we know this decision is in the best interest of our future.”
Their divorce took place after just eight months of marriage in December 2021. Currently, they are unfollowing each other on Instagram, which means that there is bad blood between the former spouses.

Jose has also worked hard as a NASA mission flight specialist. He posted a video about his time in NASA’s space program to the tune of Travis Scott’s “Goosebumps.”
Jose wrote,“I am extremely grateful for the opportunities to work for NASA and The Space Program. As space exploration and reaching new heights become more and more common, the sky is no longer the limit but the first step in reaching new frontiers.”
Jose always knew how to hurry. As a result, he is definitely married to his work and devotes a lot of time to his saving strategy in life.
In 2023, Jose revealed that he had been chosen to go into space.
Jose also has other business ventures that make him successful. In December 2023 Jose bought a fourth property and touted its long-term investment strategy. When Jose takes a break from business, he likes to go on beach vacations, play golf, and spend time with his family. He is also a big fan of the Houston Astros and frequents the games. As for his love life, Jose hasn’t featured any particular women on his Instagram page, so based on that, he’s still single.
Married at first sight may not have paved the way for a successful marriage between Jose and Rachel. Regardless, Jose seems to be moving forward with his life with enthusiasm and determination to follow his dreams. Rachel is also still single, but it’s clear the couple have learned a lot from their show.
