The only Venezuelan Casual Dining brand in the UK has launched a new flagship place in Elephant & Castle, London.
Founded in 2014 by Ernesto Moreno and Kathe Cunin, Arepa & Co – also maintains places in Brixton and Bethnal Green.
The menu focuses around Arepa – traditional flat corn breads, roasted, distributed openly and filled with many fillers such as meat, pulses and dairy. A tradition that is rooted in the original tribes of the mainland. It also presents Venezuela’s sweetness decoration cakes on small plates, including Yuca chips and brand signature Tequueños -PUFF Bakery, full of cheese and guava.
The new location has a 70-deck restaurant and a 20-foot bar.
Moreno said, “We are enthusiastic about bringing arepa & co to the center of London’s Latin American culture, Elephant Park. This location feels like a perfect place to open our flagship restaurant.”
