Corporation Alderman Prem Goyal has been awarded a CBE in His Majesty The King’s Birthday Honours List for public service.
Prem has served as an Alderman since 2017. He is a Non-Executive Director of the Federation of Small Businesses, where he chairs the Audit and Risk Committee, is a Commissioner of the Financial Inclusion Commission, and was the founding Chair of the Chamber of Commerce.
He also holds several board and advisory roles across the financial and business sectors, including serving as Chair of Greengage, and as a Non-Executive Director of Dolma Impact Fund II.
His finance experience includes over 20 years at global investment banks, including Goldman Sachs, and Deutsche Bank in New York, Tokyo, Zurich, and London, specialising in interest rate and credit derivatives.

Former Commissioner of the Police, Ian Dyson, was awarded a CBE for Voluntary and Charitable Services and to Policing.
Since retiring as City Police Commissioner, Ian has devoted himself to a wide range of voluntary work.
This includes chairmanship of both the Consortium for the Prevention of Suicide, and the Financial Crime Information Network, and his support for the Royal Humane Society, and the First Aid Nursing Yeomanry.
He is also a trustee of the Safer Business Network, chairman of the Register of Chartered Security Professionals, ambassador for the City Crime Prevention Association’s violence against women and girls initiative, Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London, and a longstanding supporter of the London Taxi outing for child cancer patients.
His 38-year career in policing included a leading role in the rollout of 101 non-emergency number, the setting up of the Police Intellectual Property Crime Unit, and delivering a digital and technology strategy to police forces nationally.

“I am extremely proud to have been a police officer for 38 years and to have been able to have a positive impact both in the City and in national policing.
“Since retiring I have remained committed to working with charities to build and sustain communities.
“In all my career I have met the most incredibly energetic and devoted people who inspire me, and this award reflects their work too.”
City Corporation Conservation Officer, Dr Helen Read, was honoured with an MBE for services to Conservation and to Arboriculture.
Helen works at Burnham Beeches and Stoke Common – two nationally important sites managed by the City Corporation. The organisation protects 11,000 acres of green space across London and the southeast, investing millions of pounds every year. Most of these sites are run as charitable trusts, at little or no cost to the communities they serve.
Helen has worked with distinction for over 33 years pioneering the conservation practices of ancient and veteran trees and wood pasture management.
She is a founding member of the Ancient Tree Forum and has had academic papers published in nationally and internationally recognised journals. She was also part of the team that led the development of the VETCert initiative to establish common standards in veteran tree management, which now operates in eight countries.
Helen mentors and lectures in the UK and globally, and is internationally recognised as an expert on millipedes and other invertebrates.

Danny Lopez received an MBE for services to Trade Promotion and to the .
Danny has made important contributions to the City Corporation’s programmes to promote the Square Mile as a leading destination for workers, residents, and visitors.
His pro bono work was conducted while serving as the CEO of cybersecurity firm, Glasswall.
He has helped develop the City Corporation’s economic growth work, particularly through the organisation’s Competitiveness Advisory Board, contributing to the continued success of the UK’s Financial and Professional Services sector.
Through this work and earlier government service he has played an important part in enhancing London’s reputation as a premier investment destination and a global leader in the finance sector.
