‘I would have paid double the price because it’s so beautiful.’
A sought-after Dunelm lamp is back in stock, and shoppers are urging others to ‘get it while you can’. The Sophie Robinson Ceramic Table Lamp costs £85 and comes in cobalt and jade. The lamp has a ceramic base and a stylishly contrasting shade. The base is made of interconnected ceramic circles that are handcrafted with an ‘artisan glaze’, and is finished with a coloured fabric flex.
The pleated shade is covered in a print designed by interior designer Sophie Robinson, and it has a coordinating fabric liner. Dunelm says: “Bring both colour and character to your home with the Sophie Robinson Ceramic Table Lamp. Handcrafted with an artisan glaze, it’s finished with a coloured fabric flex. The pleated shade features an original Sophie Robinson print with a coordinating fabric liner — perfect for adding style and personality to any room.”
The lamp comes without a bulb, and Dunelm recommends using an E27 Edison Screw bulb. You can get a three-pack for £12 at Dunelm here.

Elsewhere, there’s the Gansu Table Lamp – Chinese Red for £157 at Oka. Inspired by Chinese pottery, the lamp is hand-painted with a floral motif.
On the cheaper side, there’s the Perrie Ceramic Table Lamp for £44.99 at Wayfair. The striped lamp has a straw shade and a subtly pink shade.
Back at Dunelm, the lamp has 4.9 stars from 45 reviews. One person said: “A gorgeously colourful, off-the-wall, large and fabulous lamp! Base, shade, and even the cord set are all beautiful. Absolutely stunning.”
Another wrote: “I saw this lamp months ago and then it went out of stock. I kept all my fingers and toes crossed and was always checking the website, and finally it was back in stock! I ordered it straight away and it definitely lives up to the picture and previous reviews.
“I love it, great colours (I ordered the green). It’s a really good size, so pretty and unusual. I would say order it while you can, but I am sure they will either keep in stock as popular or update with another perfect design.”
“Absolutely fabulous,” a third wrote. “Bought both colourways which complement each other without being too ‘matchy’, incredibly stylish and of excellent quality. Indistinguishable from other brands at triple the price! More like this please Sophie!”
Another added: “A very beautiful lamp. So colourful and stylish. The base is so artistically crafted. I’m very pleased with it.”
There was only one negative review at the time of writing. They said: “Lovely lamp, pretty poor quality. Immediately after turning on, it shorted, blue sparks at the switch, discovered that the bulb attachments to the lamp were damaged/faulty. Shame as it is attractive. Have bought a few Sophie Robinson pieces only to discover quality control isn’t great. Nice design/poor execution.”
But another happy shopper said: “Absolutely beautiful lamp, very happy that it came back into stock. Well worth the wait. I would have paid double the price because it’s so beautiful.”
