If you’ve spent any time in Peckham partying it up during the warmer months, you’ve likely found yourself at the Bussey Rooftop Bar. The lively spot is one of the go-to places for warm-weather revelry and vibey days (and nights) out. And this winter, they’re bringing back their rooftop vibes, but with a twist. Across the festive Christmas period, Bussey Rooftop will be hosting London’s highest ice skating rink: ICE at Bussey Rooftop Bar.
Opening from November 17 – January 1the sky-high rink will allow you to skate amongst the clouds with stunning views of the city. Okay, so maybe you won’t quite be touching the clouds from the 5th-floor perch, but the 360° panoramic views are still utterly magnificent.
And before you complain that ‘it’s October, it’s too early to be talking about Christmas!’ need I remind you that the likes of Covent Garden, Carnaby Street, and even Buckingham Palace have released details of their Christmas events? ICE at Bussey Rooftop Bar
The rooftop ice rink marks a first for the venue, and will replace the seasonal rooftop cinema that typically pops up in the space. And they’re going big for their first time. Visitors will find themselves transported to a festive oasis where they can glide beneath twinkling lights, surrounded by London views, Christmas trees, and plenty of holiday decor. It just might be the Christmassiest spot in town.
Step off the ice and you can head to the heated hideaway bar, where festive delights await. These range from boozy hot chocolates to zesty winter spritzes and mulled wines. And since you’ll have worked up an appetite after taking to the ice, they’ll also have a menu of stone-baked pizzas, with toppings that include seasonal specials as well as classics such as margherita and pepperoni.
And since Bussey can’t resist the chance for a boogie, they’ll also be inviting live DJs to spin killer soundtracks every Friday and Saturday. Get ready to jingle those sleighbells all season long.
