If you love running and you love pizza, we have the perfect London run club for you. PizzaExpress and Secret Run Club have joined forces to host run clubs in Finsbury Park and Brixton this August! It’s the perfect way to meet and mingle with other runners, get to know people in your community and, of course, enjoy a mouthwatering pizza after a lap.
The brand new Finsbury Park and Brixton PizzaExpress grab-and-go restaurants are perfect for on the go lunches, late night bites and post run club pizzas.
Where and when are the run clubs taking place?
There are two run clubs taking place in August. The first will kick off on Thursday August 20 at 6:30pm at PizzaExpress, Finsbury Park (Unit 6 – 7, Clifton House, 44 Clifton Terrace, Finsbury Park, London, N4 3JP).
On Wednesday August 26, the second run club will meet at PizzaExpress Brixton (462 Brixton Road, London, SW9 8EA) at 6:30pm. So whether you’re north or south of the river, you’ve got a run club on home turf.
What can I expect from the run club?
These social run clubs are designed to combine pizza, running and community. On arrival, you’ll get a running shirt, before you head out on the route at 7pm. Each run will loop back to finish at the same PizzaExpress, at which point every runner will receive a bag of merch and their hard-earned pizza treat.
There really is no better way to kick back and relax after a run than with some pizza and new friends. If you’ve been looking to meet some new people in your local area, this is the perfect opportunity to do so, and everyone is invited to hang at PizzaExpress afterwards to chat and connect with their fellow pizza fans.
Who can take part in the run clubs?
PSA you do not have to be a marathon veteran to take part! These runs have well and truly been designed for all experience levels – there are 3 different pace groups and everyone is encouraged to mingle and get to know one another. There’s no pressure to run a certain way here, it’s all about having a good time. Runners must be over the age of 18 to take part.
What else do I need to know?
Registration is now open for both run club dates and trust us, spots will likely fill up fast. There is a £5 fee to register, which includes everything listed above – yes, even the pizza! In order to make sure everyone is able to get to know each other and chat, there is a cap of how many people can participate – so don’t delay, book your spot now!
