Pladis has promoted David Murray, the UK and Irish CEO, in the role of the newly founded commercial chief.
After five years of Pladis UK & Ireland leadership, Murray is now monitoring the company’s global platform, brand strategy and commercial change in its new role.
Pladis veteran Mete Buyurgan is valid on April 6th as CEO of Murray Great Britain and Ireland.
Buyurgan transitions to the Division of the Pladis British and Irish for the operations of Turkey, Eastern Europe and Central Aasia, which he has led since 2016.
Under the leadership of Buyurgan, Pladis Türkiye, Eastern Europe and Central Aoma achieved income and profit growth, despite the significant challenges and set themselves on the forefront of sustainable development discussion.
Founded in 2016, Pladis operates with 16,000 groups in 27 bakeries and factory in 11 countries and is sold in over 110 countries.
“Although brands such as McVitie and Ülker have been part of people’s lives for decades, Pladis is still a young business that started life nine years ago,” said Geraldine Fraser, Pladis.

This follows the departure of Salman Amin, who resigned as Pladis CEO last month for personal reasons.
CFO Sridhar Ramamurthy and European MD Tim Brett have temporarily taken leadership temporarily, according to the statement of the Pladis President Ülker, permanent compensation has been appointed.
