Amazon shoppers have been praising a pair of high-waisted leggings, thanks to the tummy control feature that also ‘doubles up as shapewear’. What’s more, they are not sheer, according to the reviews. The Sunzel Sunzfly yoga pants are £29.99 and come in small, extra small, medium, large and extra large sizes.
They are ankle 7/8 length, which means they slightly graze the ankles. They are leggings crafted from a high-quality blend of 80% Polyamide and 20% Lycra. They are casual and can be worn for workouts, running errands or as comfy homeware for remote workers.
They are hugely popular with shoppers too. They have more than 1,000 reviews and an average star rating of 4.6. According to the brand, the stretchy workout leggings ‘hug you all the right places without feeling restrictive’.
Over in the comments section, one customer praised the tummy control feature, writing: “The Sunzel Sunzfly Leggings are a pleasant surprise in terms of fit and quality. Following the size guide on the product page led to a perfect fit, even though it recommended a size smaller than I usually wear. The high-waisted design offers excellent tummy control, doubling as shapewear and providing a sleek silhouette under dresses.

“The fabric is incredibly stretchy and smooth, ensuring all-day comfort. It’s worth noting that the material is on the warmer side, making these leggings ideal for cooler weather or indoor yoga sessions, but potentially too warm for hot summer days.
The leggings look great on, with a stylish appearance that transitions well from workout to casual wear.

A second happy shopper said: “I’m very impressed with these leggings. They are so buttery soft that I can’t stop running my hands over them (best get out of that habit before I wear them out of the house!). I can’t see that they are see-through, given that the material is so light. I went for the Large size as although I usually wear 12, sometimes 14, in trousers I do have a big waist and a belly.
“The leggings were incredibly comfy and did not constrict around my waist at all because, thankfully, the elasticity is in the waistband material rather than a piece of elastic threaded through. I probably could have gone with the Medium but the material seems to mould to your body so the larger size made no odds. The only thing I didn’t notice was the tummy control, if it was there then it was very light. I’ll not deduct from my rating because of this because they are so perfect in all other ways.”
And a third added: “These leggings are so comfy it’s unreal, they are really really soft and feel great to the touch. They look great on and I love the high waist as they feel secure. The material is not cheap or see-through and they are really well made. They do seem to be a bit pricey but for how great I feel in these it is a price I would be willing to pay.”

Not all customers were happy, with one saying that the slide down a lot. They explained: “The pants fit as expected and aren’t sheer. They look nice and I really wanted to like them but when I tried exercising in them they just keep sliding down. I keep having to pull my pants up every five minutes. It’s frustrating because it continually disrupts every and any physical activity I do. I am a curvy woman so maybe these just aren’t equipped to handle someone with my body type.”
Another found the fitting and sizing to be less than desirable, adding: “Way too big. Got the small but they were not tight as expected. I’m 5″5 125 lbs. They were soft but loose, baggy and unflattering. The pattern was not the same as the picture. I would not buy these pants again. Terrible.”

These Amazon OVRUNS High Waist Gym Leggings are another popular option, with more than 4,000 reviews. The leggings have pockets which is great if you’re wearing them to go on a run, as you’ll have somewhere to store your phone and keys. At £19.99, they are also a more budget-friendly option.
