    As a London mum of two boys (aged 6 and 2) I keep my finger on the pulse of fun things to do with kids. If you’re looking for the best things to do with children in London for the Easter holidays (March/ April) 2026, well you’ve come to the right place. In April London offers a mix of fun indoor adventures and outdoor discoveries perfect for when the weather can’t make up it’s mind!

    Read this post for the best interactive museums, immersive exhibitions, shows and festivals. This guide brings together the very best things to do with children in London for the Easter holidays.

    Festivals

    Spring Family Fun – a festival of fun and creativity for families at the Southbank Centre includes super shows, musical adventures, amazing puppetry and lots of free fun in the Easter break. Also worth visiting is the REPLAY: A Limitless Recycled Playground – a play space made out of repurposed materials (£7.50).

    Date: 1st April – 31st May
    Price: Some paid activities and some free.

    Peppa Pig’s egg-stra special Easter Afternoon Tea Bus Tour – Every day this Easter a Peppa Pig themed afternoon tea will be run with special Easter travel cup and Easter Egg hunt activity on a London bus.

    Disney on Ice – Into the Magic. Be inspired by Disney’s Magical characters. Disney on Ice will be performed at OVO Arena Wembley

    Historic Attractions

    British Library – Fairy Tales, a new interactive exhibition which explores enchanted lands, magical creatures, iconic characters and timeless tales, through books, costumes, puppets, pop-ups, artwork and illustrations from some of the UKs most beloved writers.

    Price: £13.50 (peak) and £11.50 (off-peak)

    Outdoor Attractions

    London Wetland Centre – Fun-filled wetland adventure with Gozzle the gosling from Julia Donaldson and Sara Ogilvie’s picture book. Follow the interactive trail to discover what it takes Gozzle to become a grown-up goose. Additionally kids can also enjoy the Vet Check experience.

    Price: Included in admission Adult £17.95, £11.65 child (under 3s are free)

    Kew Gardens – Octonauts Above and Beyond. This Easter, join the Octonauts on an exciting outdoor mission at Kew Gardens. An interactive trail that invites young explorers to complete challenges, discover facts and learn how to protect our planet.

    Age: 3 – 6 years
    Price: Included in admission Adult £24, £7 child (under 4s are free)

    London Zoo – London Zoo’s Zoonormous Eater Egg Hunt. Kids are invited to explore London Zoo on a special Easter egg hunt, searching for six giant Easter eggs hidden around the park. Each egg reveals a secret letter and a riddle to solve and at the end there’s a chocolate prize! In addition there is arts and crafts activities and Easter Bunny crowns.

    Vauxhall City Farm – Easter hunt and crafting such as bonnet making.

    Indoor Attractions

    Seven Wonders of the World: An Immersive Exhibition – Journey through the ancient world and see the Taj Mahal, Machu Picchu and Colossus of Rhodes etc through 360 projections and VR. Use discount code with your purchase: WONLON10 for a 10% discount on tickets!

    Mundo Pixar – The Mundo Pixar Experience allows fans to actually step inside their favourite Pixar Films. There are 14 Pixar Universes with over 25 sculptures – allowing for lots of photo opportunities of course. 

    Did you know that Pixar was founded 40 years ago? Making it part of my childhood too, the first ever feature film being Toy Story which is also first fully computer-animated feature film.

    As well as Toy Story (and a visit to Andy’s Room) guests can explore recreated ‘sets’ from Monsters Inc, Cars, Finding Nemo, Inside Out and many more. Each with details designed, music and even scents making it a fully immersive sensory experience.

    Museums

    Young V & A – One of London best museums for children is currently running a brilliant exhibition.‘ Inside Aardman: Wallace and Gromit and Friends‘ goes behind the scenes of the famous stop motion show casing how the classic characters are bought to life.

    Hornimann Museum – New exhibition ‘Voyage to the Deep – Underwater Adventures.’ Inspired by Jules Verne’s ‘20,000 Leagues Under the Seas’, families are invited to board the legendary ‘Nautilus’ submarine and discover on an underwater adventure. Includes an Octonauts adventure trail.

    Postal Museum – New Jolly Postman exhibition – interactive exhibition celebrating 40 years of Janet and Allan Ahlberg famous children’s book.

    Royal Museums Greenwich – There’s lots going on in Greenwich around the Easter Holidays. Check out the Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark and London Museum Docklands.

    London Transport Museum – Future London, What will London look like in 100 years and how might we travel?

    Crafting such as build your own futuristic vehicle using recycled materials, design the skyline of tomorrow and meet time-travelling artist Montague Black.

    Matilda – Based on the beloved book by Roald Dahl.

    Unicorn Theatre

    Your Toys – Your Toys are ready for an adventure! Children are also invited to bring their own toy to interact on stage.

    Midnight in the Toy Shop – Step inside a magical toyshop where, as the clock strikes midnight, toys spring to life.

    Activities Less than Two Hours From London

    Legoland Windsor – Easter activities with rides and attractions to explore, plus brick building challenges, workshops, and character meet ups.

    Hampton Court – Hosts the famous Easter Lindt Gold bunny hunt. Walk through the gardens, looking for elusive Lindt GOLD BUNNY statues peeking out from daffodils. There’s chocolate prize at the end.
