West Hollywood seemed like the perfect fit. It’s up-and-coming, stylish, rich in history, and full of the glamour you can only find in LA.
We booked a suite at The London West Hollywood and quickly realized it was the perfect launchpad for a week of celebrity sightings, incredible dining, fitness, and relaxation.
The London Hotel: Chic Comfort in the Heart of West Hollywood
Checking into The London Hotel immediately set the tone for our trip.
Tucked just off the Sunset Strip, the property exudes understated glamour.
The lobby was sleek and inviting, and when we got up to our suite, we were blown away by the spacious layout and stylish design.

The view from our balcony stretched toward Beverly Hills, and at sunset, the city seemed to glow in soft golden light.
One of the hotel’s biggest perks was its rooftop pool.
Each morning, we’d grab a coffee and sit by the water, soaking up sunshine and watching the city wake up.
The vibe was relaxed – luxurious without being pretentious – and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful.
The location made exploring effortless: Beverly Hills was minutes away, the Hollywood Walk of Fame was within reach, and plenty of West Hollywood’s trendiest restaurants and boutiques were right at our doorstep.
Sunset Dining with a View at Casa Madera
On our second night, we booked a table at Cavatina at Casa Madera and it quickly became one of the highlights of the trip.
If there’s one restaurant that defines West Hollywood’s cool, scene-y side, it’s Casa Madera.

We booked a table for dinner around sunset, and I don’t think I’ll ever forget that view.
The space itself was stunning with floor-to-ceiling windows opening up to panoramic views of the city, with décor that balanced bohemian elegance and California chic.
We shared small plates, starting with tuna tartare and then a beautifully presented crudo, followed by some beef tacos and salmon.

The menu leaned into fresh, California-inspired flavors, and every dish felt thoughtful but unpretentious.
The atmosphere made us want to linger; it was the kind of place where conversations flowed easily, and you forgot you were in the middle of a bustling city.
Sweating it Out at Barry’s Bootcamp
Now, a holiday for me usually means indulgence, but it would have been rude not to try a Barry’s class when in LA.
We went to Barry’s Bootcamp – the cult-favorite workout studio just a short walk from our hotel.
I’ll admit, I was a little intimidated going in. Known as the “hardest workout in the world,” Barry’s has a reputation for its intense cardio and strength intervals.

Once inside, though, the energy was electric.
The red-lit studio pulsed with music, and our instructor was motivating without being pushy. It was tough, my legs were shaking halfway through, but it was also exhilarating.
By the end, I felt accomplished and oddly energized. Plus, it made me feel better about all the meals we were indulging in.
Walking out into the sunshine afterward, sweaty but smiling, was one of those only-in-LA moments that made me feel like a local.
Casual lunch at Cavatina – Sunset Marquis
Walking into the restaurant felt like entering a secret garden, tucked away from the bustle of the city.
The Sunset Marquis Hotel is legendary for its deep ties to music history – rock stars have stayed, recorded, and even written albums there, making it an iconic retreat for artists seeking inspiration just off the Sunset Strip.

Its walls practically hum with decades of rock-and-roll stories, and although I didn’t get a chance to, I was desperate to rub shoulders with fame.
The menu was equally impressive, blending Mediterranean flavors with Mexican influences.
We shared guacamole and chips, salmon tacos and seared tuna poke bowls.
It was good food, partnered with a beautiful hidden away setting.
Pure Relaxation at the Spa at The West Hollywood EDITION
Midway through the week, after days of exploring and late nights, we treated ourselves to some downtime at the Spa at The West Hollywood EDITION.
From the moment we walked in, I felt a sense of calm.

The design was minimalist, with earthy tones and soft lighting that immediately set the mood for relaxation.
I had a facial which my therapist said is one popular with the stars before the red carpet, and this really made me feel special.
Afterwards, we lingered in the relaxation lounge, sipping herbal tea and feeling like time had slowed down.
It was exactly the reset we needed before diving back into the buzz of West Hollywood.
A Foodie’s Dream at Bottega Louie
Toward the end of our trip, we ventured into Bottega Louie – part Italian restaurant, part patisserie, it was a feast for the senses the moment we walked in.
The interior was bright and bustling, with displays of colorful macarons and pastries that immediately caught my eye.

The garden, an ambient spot for a bite to eat for dinner.
We had tuna tartare (one of our favourite dishes), and some pasta dishes as well, before finishing with some macarons.
Exploring the Charm of West Hollywood
Between meals, workouts, and spa days, we spent plenty of time just wandering the neighborhood.
West Hollywood has this fascinating blend of history and modernity.
Walking along the Sunset Strip, we passed legendary music venues that felt steeped in rock-and-roll history, while just around the corner were brand-new boutiques and cafes buzzing with trendsetters.

Unlike other places, WeHo didn’t feel overwhelming; the energy was casual, as if everyone was just coexisting in this stylish bubble.
Of course, we made time for the classics. We drove up to see the Hollywood Sign (snapping plenty of photos, of course), and we strolled along the Walk of Fame, soaking in the kitsch and history of Hollywood Boulevard.
But returning to West Hollywood always felt like coming back to a more refined, intimate slice of LA.
In fact Catch LA is one of West Hollywood’s most stylish dining spots, known for its lively atmosphere and celebrity-filled crowd. The sunset rooftop is the real showstopper, offering panoramic views of the city as the sky turns golden.
Among the standout dishes, the sashimi pizza is a must-try – fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. It’s the perfect mix of trendsetting cuisine and unforgettable ambiance.

The Perfect Balance
As our week in West Hollywood came to an end, I couldn’t help but feel like we had experienced the best of both worlds.
Staying at The London gave us comfort, luxury, and easy access to everything, while the neighbourhood itself offered a unique blend of celebrity glamour, cultural history, and laid-back California cool.

From romantic dinners at Cavatina and Casa Madera to sweating it out at Barry’s Bootcamp, indulging at Bottega Louie, and unwinding at the Spa at The West Hollywood EDITION, every day brought something new and memorable.
West Hollywood isn’t just a destination, it’s a vibe.
It’s a place where you can spot celebrities at brunch, shop at cutting-edge boutiques, and then retreat to a rooftop pool all in the same afternoon.
For us, it was a week that struck the perfect balance between indulgence and relaxation, glamour and authenticity.
