There is just over a month to go until Londoners start flocking to Chiswick House & Gardens for Ben & Jerry’s Sundaes in the Park Festival. Back for another year on June 13, the festival is set to be the sweetest event of the summer, offering guests a fantastic line-up of live music, inspiring talks and workshops, and unlimited Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. There will be so much exciting stuff happening throughout the day, so we’ve put together a guide of the best things to see and do whilst you’re there.
1.Head to the Main Stage for some fantastic live music
Headlined by none other than multi-platinum pop star Pixie Lottthis year’s Main Stage has got a line-up that’s worth travelling for. Alongside Pixie Lott, you can also catch TC & The Groove for an infectious fusion of afro-beats and jazz, Unflirt for dreamy alt-pop melodies, and Nate James as the resident host and DJ. And be sure not to miss Beans on Toast, Mysie, Lyvia, Peter & Kerry, DJ Nour and more!
2. Catch even more music at the Cabaret Stage
Two stages worth of live music is always better than one. Visit the Cabaret Stage which will be headlined by the iconic Cocoa Butter Club, the award-winning performance company who showcase and celebrate performers of colour. Throughout the day you can also see Rozsa, Courtney Courtney, Weird Wood Collective, Elias Alexanderand The Brass Funkeys.
3. Indulge in unlimited Ben & Jerry’s ice cream
There is nothing to cool you down during a day of dancing like a delicious scoop of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. You’ll be able to find all of your old favourites, as well as Cherry Garcia as a scooping exclusive. This year’s newest flavours will also be available to try, including Churrifically Churros-y, Strawberry Doughnut-eee and The Cookie Dough Sandwich.
4. Chat to the Ben & Jerry’s charity partners
As you may already know, 100% of ticket proceeds will be donated to Ben & Jerry’s social mission partners, all of whom support refugees and people seeking asylum. Last year’s festival raised £66,000 for these charities, and the hope is that this year’s festival will raise even more. You’ll be able to talk to representatives from all ten of those charity partners (the most the festival has had to date!) on the day. So be sure to visit the Social Mission tent and learn more about the work done by The Great Oven, Bail for Immigrant Detainees, Migrants in Culture, The Bike Project, Women for Refugee Women, Ice and Fire, Gatwick Detainees Welfare Group, Conversation over Borders, TERN, and Empathy Museum
