It’s often said that art imitates life – but this Spring, Londoners are invited to experience how life can imitate art…
From April 30 to May 2, you have the chance to step into a seriously aesthetic Peroni pop-up in Covent Garden. The installation is designed to resemble a fresco – the traditional Italian technique of painting on freshly laid plaster – and pays homage to Peroni’s place at aperitivo hour.
Step into the masterpiece that serves you a free half pint of Peroni
So what can you actually expect at the pop-up? As you arrive you’ll walk through a grand arched entrance to step into the masterpiece and find yourself surrounded by optical illusion murals of Peroni beer bearers where you can fill up with a free half pint of Peroni. But it might be a good time to brush up on your Italian as you can only receive the drink from the bearers if you are able to say “Salute Peroni”.
Once you’ve got your drink, it’s all about soaking up the vibes. Guests can step outside with a cold Peroni in hand, take in the sights and enjoy the fresco al fresco. And if you look a little closer, you may even spot a few surprises hidden within the masterpiece. Oh and of course, there will be plenty of photo opps! So if you fancy sipping a beer inside a work of art, it’s the perfect time to head to Covent Garden.
